Chris Rice – What A Heart Is Beating For?

Nici in momentul de fata nu inteleg de ce muzica lui Chris Rice ar fi incadrata in genul muzicii “crestine”. Defapt muzica numita “Contemporary Christian Muzic”. Da…americanii astia si muzica lor din biserici… Noul album intitulat “What a heart is beating for?” nu mi-a atras deloc atentia la prima ascultare. Pana cand batranelul meu winamp a ajuns la melodia 10 ( “Sneaking Into The Heaven” – asa o veti gasi pe cd, chiar puteti sa aruncati un ochi prin mall-uri sau pe la magazinele Diverta, merita!). Respectiva melodie m-a facut chiar sa-mi las treburile si sa revin la calculator pentru a asculta mai cu luare aminte versurile : “City sidewalk, bright Saturday morning/ Beggar with a halo shuffles up to me He asks me for a coin, and mumbles, “Thank you, and God bless you.” / He asks me, “Is there something I can give back to you? How ’bout this halo for an hour or two?”/ “And now I’m… Sneakin’ into heaven with a borrowed halo /Hopin’ no one notices my broken wings”. Continuarea povestirii  o puteti gasi asultand melodia. Nu uitati insa de sfantul Petru. “So Much For My Sad Song” ar fi iarasi o melodie foarte draguta, romantica (pentru cei ce prefera acest criteriu) si bine creata. Pian, chitara rece, un bas (ce se cam aude), si, bineinteles, o voce calda cu versuri pe masura : “And when things go wrong I usually get mad /But this time I’m glad that my song didn’t turn out sad”. “What A Heart Is Beating For?”, “You Don’t Have To Yell”, “Lemonade” , “Kids Again” – instrumentatia mi s-a parut chiar foarte buna pe aceste piese, iar daca cumva ajungeti pe site-ul respectivului domn nu-l judecati la prima vedere ca pe un om trecut de varsta a doua, caci veti fi surprinsi de vocea sa ce pare a fi vocea unui tanar de 20 de ani. “C’mon, grab another hand and skip along / Laugh the way we did when we were young / Let’s all be kids again “
